Anthem Blue Cross Data Breach—Updated Information

Some of the HealthFlex population was impacted by the Anthem data breach—most often a breach in some personal information (name, address, date of birth, email address) without SSN involvement. A very small number of individuals had a breach in their SSN. To our knowledge, no individuals had breaches in personal medical or claims data. If you happen to be one of the individuals with an SSN breach, you will have been contacted personally by the General Board and will also receive follow up information from Anthem. If you were involved in the other types of data breach, you will receive personal notification from Anthem in the coming weeks. Individuals who have had any type of data breach are being offered free credit monitoring services through Anthem.
